Written by Rebecca Singleton and beautifully illustrated by Katherine Summerville, follow Fran on her journey of self-discovery against the backdrop of the tropical island Bermuda.

Fred and Fran are identical ducks and best friends.

But one day Fran falls into a pot of blue paint, which dyes her yellow feathers blue.

Not recognising his friend anymore, Fred leaves Fran alone stuck in the pot of paint.

Can Fran escape from the pot?

Our son Asher loves this book! One of his favorite parts (and adorably illustrated pages) is when Fran falls into the pot. “One step, two step, three step, QUACK!” is a phrase said in our house multiple times and a cute way to get kids excited about counting. Always a joy to read again and again and we love looking for the snail on each page:)

“A short cut can lead to a longer journey,

And sometimes we choose the wrong path.

It’s OK to be different.  It’s OK to be blue.

Your friends and your family will always love you!”
